Saint James Convent
Saint James Catholic Church is currently constructing a convent for members of the community of Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia who will be joining the parish and school community in the Summer of 2016. The convent is being constructed on the 50-acre campus located at 401 Robinbrooke Boulevard alongside Saint James Catholic School.
The convent has been funded through generous support of parishioners and friends of Saint James Catholic Church who realize the value of the addition of this order of women religious joining the community. We are currently accepting cash and in-kind donations to assist in furnishing the convent upon its completion expected in December 2016. If you would like to offer help of some kind, please contact Jennifer Moran in the parish office by email or phone 270-765-6268.
The convent will include a Chapel, Parlor, Refectory and Kitchen along with a large community room, computer room and office, six bedrooms (cells) and two full bathrooms and laundry room. Below is an elevation and floor plan for the convent.
Saint James Catholic Church is making plans for the future of the parish by embarking upon a strategic plan which will lead the parish, school and community in transitioning the faith community to one physical campus on Robinbrooke Boulevard. The strategic planning process is in the early stages and there will be much more to share throughout the coming weeks and months, so stayed tuned for how you can get involved in making key decisions for your parish and its future.
