True Meaning of Christmas
YEAR-END GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
Show your support for Saint James Catholic Church or School
As we near the end of the calendar year, often we are looking for opportunities to provide funds to support worthy causes and gain a tax benefit for the year. If this is on your mind currently, we would like to provide you with a few opportunities to support Saint James Catholic Church and School. By choosing any of the items below, you will be making a difference in the life of your parish, school families and students as well as providing yourself with the joy that comes from giving. You can support any of the projects below by putting a check in the collection basket or dropping it off at the parish office. Please be sure to include the fund you would like to support on your check. Thank you in advance for your help in funding these projects!
As we work hard to maintain two campuses, Saint James Catholic Church and School continue to have a variety of capital projects that we are working to complete. Provided below are the two at that top the priority list. There are items on this list of lower priority, contact Jennifer Moran for more information.
- Loretto Center Middle Floor Furnace Replacement $6,897
- Rodney Thomas Room HVAC Replacement $9,583
Tuition Assistance Fund
As Saint James Catholic School transitions to tuition-based funding beginning August 2019, the parish is committed to building a tuition assistance fund to support our school families allowing all those who desire a Catholic education for their child, the ability to provide it. We are committed to providing up to $150k in funds as needed to assist our school families. We have raised nearly $60k from individual gifts, memorials and KY Gives Day and our regional parishes are currently working to help us increase the amount raised through collections at Mass or outright gifts. If you are passionate about providing a Catholic education to our future leaders, this fund is for you! Please consider assisting a family in need with their child’s Catholic education.
Our Hispanic ministry has grown significantly through the leadership of Sister Michaela and others. We have been fortunate enough to receive funding through the Archdiocese to help support this ministry; however, there are needs to provide on-going resources including a possibility of a priest being assigned part-time to Saint James Parish and School who is fluent in Spanish. Father could assist with Masses, Sacraments and Pastoral Care. For us to take full advantage of this opportunity, Saint James must secure funds totaling $25K for housing, salary, benefits, etc.
If you have questions about any of the funds listed above,
please contact Jennifer Moran 270-765-6268 ext. 247 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
