Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Saint James Catholic Church invites all those who are seeking to become fully initiated members of the Catholic Church to participate in Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Typically RCIA meets on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8pm at the School (401 Robinbrooke Blvd.). Participants learn about the Catholic faith and discern whether they are feeling called to become a full member of the Catholic Church by receiving the Sacraments at the Easter Vigil. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Sister Augusta in the parish office.
A new season of RCIA kicks-off each year in September.
Adult Religious Education Committee
Plans, coordinates and provides adult religious educational and formational opportunities for the parish. The Committee supports the parish library by reviewing and providing books and videos for adult learners. The Committee meets once per month for about an hour. Meets the first Tuesday of each month at 5 p.m. in the parish office.
- 6:30 p.m. Tuesday (all gender)
- 6:30 p.m. Thursday (women’s group)
Catholic Women of Saint James
We are committed to deepening our spirituality. Our goal is to bring all Catholic women together to better understand and value the richness of our Catholic faith. Led by the Holy Spirit, we will share relevant information, reading and discussion, fellowship, and service ministries designed to open our minds and hearts so that we can more fully bring God into our lives and the lives of others. Catholic Women of Saint James Church has something for every woman. Meets every Wednesday morning September through May from 9:30-11 a.m. in the Rodney Thomas Room. If you would like more information about CWOSJ, please contact Lorna Vertrees by email or phone at 270-766-8687.
